Politicians are Displaying Political Extremism

The full letter of the state representative is included in this edition of the Goshen Gazette, under the headline "A Political Letter."  Here, I've included the first paragraph and the last, because the aim for political extremism is so blatant.

September 24, 2013
We began the week with some real fun at Seneca High School. FFA teacher, Angel Roller, invited Representative Reiboldt and myself in to speak to a group of local citizens about the farm legislation we passed last session. The "Right to Farm" bill was the primary focus of the presentation. There are many who don't see a reason for us to have laws that guarantee the right to raise crops or livestock the same way that we have for generations. Why would we need such a law? There are special interest groups that are pushing for laws to drastically change the way we produce our food. I am NOT proposing that we are cruel to animals, but anyone who thinks that we can "free range" poultry in Southwest Missouri doesn't realize how many hungry coyotes, hawks, foxes, raccoons, eagles, etc. there are that would gladly support that idea. Some states have already enacted laws that prevent egg laying operations from being contained in cages. Imagine 20,000 chickens laying eggs all over a 40 acre field. Talk about job creation! I know how ridiculous this sounds, but California has already enacted just such laws. Another favorite target is raising hogs without "gestation crates". A gestation crate, or farrowing crate as I knew them growing up, is nothing more than a containment to keep a 350 pound sow from rolling over and crushing her babies. The hogs grow quite fond of them in fact, they don't have to do anything but eat and sleep for a while when they deliver their litters. The fact is, if farmers mistreated their animals, they could not have good production and that means they would go broke. Representative Reiboldt made the point that he took better care of his dairy cattle than he did himself. Most farmers feel exactly the same.
 . . . . . . . body of letter
I live in the same part of the country to which Mr. Lant refers.  I will admit I've lost a few chickens over the years to hawks, but hawks are federally protected.  Even though my chickens are free range, I have a chicken house with nest boxes in which they lay their eggs and roosts where they roost every night.  I don't have to search the acreage for eggs.  I'm not sure how in touch Mr. Lant is with his rural constituency, as my chicken house has a door on it, so foxes, coyotes, etc. aren't an issue.  I've also learned when the protected predator is hovering, my chickens sound their warning and take cover . . .  These representatives should be aware that many of us want what's best for our animals, and protected predators and a 1 cube foot cage is not necessarily what's best for a chicken, but poultry farms are big business in this area with a well funded lobby.  I don't raise hogs, so I can't comment.
Interesting article with video for those opposed to free range chickens.

the closing of Mr. Lant's letter
I just heard that a State Patrolman in St. Louis was shot but because he was wearing a protective vest, he is O.K. Those guys as well as our local law enforcement sure deserve our thanks for the job they do! I also just heard that Governor Nixon is shooting for Vice President. Do you suppose that's why he traveled all over the state in his new airplane at a cost of 780.00 per hour supposedly campaigning against a tax break? Nah, surely not!  Who knows what next week will bring, until then I am and remain in your service.

Bill Lant

I found the closing paragraph combining the shooting of a law enforcement officer who is fine, and a political barb to be contextually poor, but also divisive issues.  Even his presumed constituency has some misgivings about the authority being exercised by big city law enforcement these days, and it's a bit early to get the 2016 campaign conjecture started.

I realize all these little comments don't amount to much on a national scale, because after all, this guy is just a state representative, but the ideology is obvious throughout his letter.  The ideology of American politics seems to be the same on every level.  Control the people and blame the other party, and seemingly nothing more.  It's done by both parties, consistently and continuously and that is extremism!

What Was Cruz Doing?

I realize I'm not the most politically astute in this country, but I really did read the articles and reports and I am still scratching my head!  As an internet journalist, I do my best to stay abreast of current events, and for whatever reason, Washington politicians seem to love to orchestrate current events.  This so called rally of a "lone Texas legislator" really has me baffled, and his loyal followers are still just singing his praises.

From everything I read, it fell far short of a filibuster.  The vote gives no impression that any mind was changed but his own, and his 21 hours was not even good "sock puppet theatre."  I read that he read "Green Eggs & Ham" just to fill in time.  For no more work days than Congress even schedules, these all night comedies are outlandish, and not  funny.  When this happened last year, I was appalled.  I don't like being threatened by my government, and when they finally agreed on whatever they did, then it was every month another threat of shut down.  Enough already!  We know we're broke, and we know it's not going to get fixed!

I think we should all be tired of being constantly threatened by our own government in one way or another.  I know I am.  I'm tired of being spied on.  I don't want government health care, and I don't want to give up the Bill of Rights to a bunch of politicians who don't know straight up from sic'em about actually living a real life in this country.  I'm tired of reading about outlandish brutality, and I'm really sick and tired of reading about every time the government threatens shut down, the threats of no money lands squarely on the back of soldiers, veterans, and the government employees.  I never read about Washington politicians not receiving their checks in event of a shut down.  Besides, when did this shut down business become an option for our elected officials?

I've read the fans comments.  Mr. Cruz has been called a great patriot.  The tea party is proud.  He's identified the RINOs!  I've read comments from both sides, and I've read reports from both biases, and I still can't figure out what he did.  The vote reported was unanimous, I reiterate, unanimous:  100-0.  Anytime both sides of the aisle are 100% in agreement, I know "we the people" have not been represented in whatever is on it's way to becoming law.  So, Mr. Cruz, was this a feeble attempt to really make a difference, and you just don't know what you're doing?  or Was this some sort of political grandstanding to garner support for an election?

And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a fool? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have showed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity.  Ecclesiastes of Holy Scripture

Never Waste Your Pain

This title was the title of Rick Warren's sermon in his dramatic return to the pulpit of Saddleback Church.  My heart is grieved for the Warren family.  It is horribly painful to bury a child, and I cannot imagine the added pain to lose one to suicide.

Rick Warren is a powerful man, though; with clout in two high profile sections of our society.   He has obviously been politically influential to have hosted both Presidential candidates in 2008.  He gave the inaugural invocation for President Obama.  Rick Warren 's picture has appeared on the front of Time magazine, which I used on the front cover of my book, entitled, "Can We All Be Wrong?"
Saddleback Church, where he pastors, averages 20,000 in attendance and is listed in the ten largest churches in the country, so he's got some religious influence as well.  His book, "The Purpose Driven Life," was a top seller for some time, appealing to many of all walks of life.
The final sentence of an article I read about him, made me think of a quote by Rahm Emanuel, which then really got me thinking.
> > This weekend Warren was back at Saddleback, preaching a sermon titled, "Never Waste Your Pain." < <
The family has been rather quiet these past five months, according to the article, but now there is an interview coming up the night after his official return to the pulpit.  I see a real potential, even probability that this tragic event will be turned into a mental health / gun control / internet security issue.   The timing for the article and the interview is interesting in that October is National Cyber Security Awareness month.

Here is another quote from the article at CNN.
> > After what the family called a lifelong struggle with mental illness, Matthew Warren, 27, took his life in April.“In spite of America’s best doctors, meds, counselors, and prayers for healing, the torture of mental illness never subsided,” Warren wrote to staffers at Saddleback Church, his megachurch in Orange County, California. < <
This was a Twitter post attributed to Rick Warren, included in the article.
Someone on the internet sold Matthew an unregistered gun.I pray he seeks God's forgiveness. I forgive him. 6:15
I have an issue with this Twitter comment. We have no way of knowing if this individual had any idea that the young man was suicidal. Also, a sale on the internet may or may not have been an illegal act, since not all guns have required registration, in the past . . .

I see all sorts of things advertised for sale on the internet . . . This tragedy could be instrumental in making sure there are no gun sales on the internet, as well as more registration laws. We also need to keep in mind that a gun ordered online would have taken either time or a conscious act to obtain it. The information in the tweet indicates that this suicide was not an impulsive act, but rather a calculated plan.

I am sorry for Rick Warren and his wife. I'm sorry for their other two children. I'm sorry his son, Matthew, struggled his whole life, and I'm sorry that Matthew's mental illness was fatal. I do have the foreboding thought that someone will use this opportunity to further our loss of freedom and privacy while being reminded that this pain will not be wasted.

The Digital Fahrenheit 451

As social media and the blogosphere gain writers and readers daily, I can't help but wonder, what happens when the internet is either cast aside for newer technology or simply castigated.  As a writer, I use the internet daily.  I truly enjoy being an internet journalist and blogger, but there is something that I simply cannot wrap my mind around.  When I hit send or enter or publish, what I've written is "out there," never to be retrieved, and with that foreboding feeling of "forever" is also the reality that the written word is now, fleeting as well.

I have an ongoing argument with myself.  I keep telling myself I should print Contemplation of Preponderance, just to have the record in the event of whatever; but I then tell myself, it's serving it's purpose as is. My thoughts and words are not necessarily of world importance, but many of my blog topics do address world events and digital history is vulnerable to revision.  I'm not an historian by any means, but I do think a great deal about the revision that has already transpired.  Now that encyclopedias and periodicals are becoming digital, and libraries are losing funding, will the veracity of history remain intact?  In less than 70 years of written history, the holocaust has been questioned, even denied.

I received quite a response on the internet over a year ago, for raising the question or the possibility that while so many trust "snopes," the day could come that snopes could be hacked.  I'm already amazed at the people who swear by Google, until I search their issue on Google, then I need more information . . .   It seems digital information is more prone to perspective and interpretation as to it's validity.

The internet is a very useful tool at this time, but it may not be the best data base for recorded history.  I couldn't work from home without it, but digital information is easily cut and pasted or photoshopped, and just because something goes viral doesn't make it truth.  When I first got a word processor, I described it as a typewriter and file cabinet in one.  Later, when coming to the internet, I added to my typewriter and file cabinet, a communication device, but the reality is, once I added the communication capability, the file cabinet portion was changed.  I was no longer the only one with access, and just because it's "my blog" or "my domain" things can happen.  There need be no nefarious intent at all, technology is no more fool proof than humans.

When first organizing the Goshen Gazette, I wanted all contributors to have their own blog address, so their work remained their property.  It was only a matter of a couple of weeks before we were frantically messaging behind the scenes that certain blog sites wouldn't open.  There's nothing more frustrating than a power surge or outage when a document hasn't yet been "saved."

I realized how very important a record of the truth is, when my parents began discussing their "Plans of Departure from this World" as in, what did I want from their house?  Well, they are still in good health, or so they tell me, and I'm quite sure I won't have a clue about their financial decisions until they have departed this sod, but when asked the question, I told them, "I wanted the encyclopedias, and I qualified it with.  Now, if kids, grandkids, nieces, nephews, etc. want them, I won't argue, I simply want a record of history maintained in print."  I love my Bible program on the computer.  That program is so handy for my work on line, but my devotion time is with my Bible in print.

With digital news and e-books, the printed word is the most permanent thing we have in this temporal world.

The preacher sought to find out acceptable words: and that which was written was upright, even words of truth.  Ecclesiastes of Holy Scripture

The Beginning of Bypassing the State

I've been waiting for it, for some time to move beyond the Department of Conservation.  So many of our citizens have lost touch with nature that the powers of the DoC didn't really affect them on a personal level, but Arizona is a different story.

I've taken stark notice of the state of Arizona since the shooting of Gabrielle Giffords, and realizing the impact that state is having on a number of national concerns, while the state remains rather boisterously impotent.

Arizona was the last state in the union for years and years.  Came in in 1912.  The state has had two women governors back to back, actually four of the last five governors have been women.  Arizona has a real issue that apparently eludes New Mexico and California in immigration traffic.  Arizona also has a maverick Sheriff that spends a great deal of his time gaining national acclaim while his county is kidnap central for young teen age girls.

clearly Janet Napolitano and Jan Brewer do not share political leanings, at least openly, but there has been a common thread of a sheriff who loves the spotlight in the administration of both of these women.  Sheriff Joe Arpaio is sheriff of Maricopa County which includes the city of Phoenix.  This is the sheriff who is famous for his pink jail uniforms, tents, chain gang work force, reducing the prison budget by millions, and has been elected to this office five times.  He is also famous for his illegal immigration enforcement, alleged racial profiling, and the investigation to the legitimacy of our President's birth certificate.

Sheriff Joe is a busy man.  His jail has housed the infamous Jodi Arias, as well as a Pastor having a family Bible study.  What I've noticed is, as with so many things in America, the Arizona issues are all quite divisive and conveniently located right there in one state.  Granted, everything isn't all in Maricopa County, but Sheriff Joe is quite the animated lighting rod.  It has now been determined that he requires federal oversight and a Federal District Judge has ordered a monitor for this outspoken sheriff.

http://www.addictinginfo.org/2013/09/01/maricopa-county-sheriffs-office-will-get-a-federal-monitor-joe-arpaio-not-happy/

It's as though, Arizona's governor has simply become a figure head, and bypassed, while the muscle of the federal power is flexed in this state over one of the largest counties, and certainly the most notorious "badge" of the west.  Granted, this move also brings division in those watching.  Many applaud the oversight that leaves both a republican governor and an authoritative sheriff in submission to the federal government, while others claim conservative persecution.  We can't set aside the foundation of federal involvement over the horrific tragedy that took place in Tucson.  This event will affect gun control in all fifty states.

Sadly, this journalist sees yet another opportunity to keep the people divided while creating the submissive sustainable urban dwellings that is being promoted federally.  This is one step closer to a federal rule of law, while state power and economic autonomy continues to decline.  Ultimately the power of a state or county can, potentially in the foreseeable future, be regulated by Congress.

Recent Presidential History

Anyone who thinks the President of the United States calls all the shots has clearly never heard of Lincoln or Kennedy!
The Presidents of the United States answer to someone, or they get taken out . . . Somewhere behind the scenes, the real authority is in place.  I have no idea how far back it goes to the point we were sold out, but since then; we've continued to be sold down the tubes.   In order to live with having been sold, the wild idea has been perpetuated, to blame and change parties and argue amongst ourselves, without seeing the true situation.   Our political differences are not so different and will not change the inevitable.  I'm beginning at the point I became an American adult, although I know the foundation and building blocks of this direction were already in place before that.  No one man in the oval office, so far, deserves full credit or blame.  It's been incremental, regardless of party.

I've been shown a perspective of the base of our problem, which of course is, as always; the love of money.  Jimmy Carter made the mistake of not curbing inflation, under the apparent crazy notion that currency with no standard was only paper.  It didn't seem to matter to him.  I became 21 years of age in 1979 and that was the year Iran took American hostages and in that move, control of the US election in 1980.  It was through the 80's the Middle Class began to die, truly die.  It wasn't over night, but the high end of the Middle Class became upwardly mobile, and the rest began to sink. The demise of the Air Traffic Controllers Union was just the beginning of government control over Air transportation, and now we have very few airlines and a powerful TSA, but that's not all that collapsed, it was only the beginning.

Remember Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker?  What was once fraud is now religious business as usual?  Money! Follow the money trail to the division of America!

Although we had no embassy in Iran anymore, due to the hostage crisis that was negotiated by Jimmy Carter, but resolved the day Reagan was inaugurated; yet I digress, Iran ended up with an arms deal with the US in 1986, and we were in a recession in 1987, with the deficit more than tripled through this administration.  Do I think Ronald Reagan did all this to collapse the middle class or boost Iran?  Absolutely not, he was clearly, only a figure head.  Now, his VP, I personally believe is better connected to the true powers that be, but I don't know his actual prominence.

Which brings us to the next President, Bush 41, further diminishing the middle class, as it scrambled with the Savings & Loan collapse, and more dramatic increase of the national deficit.  It was through these two administrations, however; that the moral majority gained a voice, but no change.  A voice that claimed authority brought religion and money to an interesting union in our nation's churches, while the middle class continued to drown in a sea of debt.  The American dream was very much based upon the ideology that the land of opportunity meant everyone should have the opportunity to be in debt . . .  So we then obviously leaned to the left . . .

If anyone can truly see a difference in the policies of Bill Clinton and Bush 41, I'd like to know what they were.  Bush 41 introduced NAFTA, Bill Clinton brought it.  The Republican Party has always been more opposed to the welfare program, Bill Clinton put the limits in place.  Clinton and Bush became a charity fund raising team after both of them left office!  These two men have proved better than any, the parties are not so different.  Now, I'm not saying they possess the same personal moral values, but in all honesty, I think Clinton was just a side show, while the pieces continued to fall into place behind the scenes.  The banking "industry" enjoyed some wonderful deregulation while the nation raged about Bill and Monica.   Not only were most well paying jobs outsourced by the end of last century through no fault of Bush 43, sex was clearly no longer a taboo subject.  Credit not only goes to Clinton on that, but to talk radio pundits, as well!  Meanwhile, much banking got deregulated and the economy literally exploded on the idea there was excess . . . I knew very few who had a union job in the 70's, even 80's that still worked for the same company by Clinton's second term.

Sadly, the point I'm closing with is truly heart-wrenching.  We have become such a divided country through these years, there's no going back.  The same people that lauded Bush 43 for the Iraq invasion are disgusted with Obama for talking the same way about Syria.  The same people who felt so good about the USA Patriot Act, now want their privacy protected.  Not to be outdone, the people who could not wait to the end of the Bush Administration follow Obama as faithfully as the people they used to mock.  They don't seem to be aware that President Obama continued the Patriot Act and has a very invasive NSA in operation, and we can't forget the drones.  Yet his followers really believe things have changed, and things that haven't are the fault of the other party . . .

When a candidate has to raise funds in the millions to be elected to a job that doesn't pay a half million a year, that position is owned, already bought and paid for.   The selection is made in bank accounts, not voting booths.

Now, we the people, are more divided than we ever were, because Obama was the man of the recent hour, but certainly not the authoritative power his opposition considers him to be, nor is he the victim of a lousy Congress or the last administration.  He's just a place holder as things unfold.  We have the Occupy Wall Street Movement, racism cloaked in political correctness is really frightening, Law Enforcement have become The Enforcers.  At every hand there is a "them against us," meanwhile . . . What began as the Middle Class has become the barren wasteland of indebted blame, hatred, and envy.

But godliness with contentment is great gain . . . For the love of money is the root of all evil . . .  I Timothy 6

The Health Care Reform Bill and the ERA

I'm beginning to see some real similarities here, and I don't like what I'm seeing.  First and foremost, let us never forget the "Equal Rights Amendment" was never ratified, but it took less than forty years for the work force to be comprised of more women than men.  There was something much larger looming beneath the surface, though and we are now seeing the evidence and effect.

I've spoken on the subject before, citing Proverbs 31.  You don't need the ERA if you have G-O-D.  The Proverbs 31 woman had it going on!  Women have been working since the dawn of civilization.  Don't think for a minute, women weren't working when our society was agrarian.  I long to be that kind of woman, and I am in some areas.  My failings are not in work and project accomplishment, but  . . . suffice it to say, I seem to be taking the chapter in order . . .  Back to the similarity between this postponed, procrastinated health care and the ERA.

First, Health Care Reform has had a placebo effect.  Obama's followers feel better already!  What the talk and songs about the ERA actually did, was hand the child raising over to the government, well the ones that were born.  Through this much debated ERA era, although we didn't actually get the amendment, we did get "Head Start," skyrocketing divorce rates, birth control, and abortion, to name just a few "victories for women."   I believe women can actually serve a long side men in the military, rather than separate units like medical and clerical in the earlier days.  I haven't heard of the WAVES in years, because in 1972, all that changed.  Without the ERA women have been expected to work along side the men.  In each of the examples given, it seems women have actually lost their G-d given rights, while never really earning equality, and the government has raised a generation of kids, into the next generation, through the formative years, which brings me to this Health Care Reform Bill.

The millennials can now make all their own "adult" decisions at 18, in some states 17, go into thousands of dollars of debt for student loans with mom and/or dad's tax information, while remaining dependent children until the age of 26 for their health care.  Then, with this mandate, nobody is getting better care, they are just getting forced insurance, invasive questioning, tax penalties, and some reduced work hours.  The official health care is still another year and a half away, but so far, Obama's people feel better.  I can't help but wonder how they'll feel if and when it truly is implemented fully.  Meanwhile teen-agers can have access to all sorts of birth control, which will be another blog topic, but what I see here is health care will take government control beyond the formative years through to the adult years, which will have virtually every baby in America born into the agenda.

It truly doesn't matter if the entire Health Care Bill is ever fully enacted, "the followers" already feel better and we can all see with no ERA, "we've come a long way, baby!?

The Way I See It . . .

I have to ask the question.  Has America already gone down the slippery slope to become "Amerika?"

What is the difference between law enforcement demolishing small sustainable organic farms, injuring even killing elderly homeowners, destroying products and killing animals of small ag independent farmers in post 9/11 America; and breaking the windows of Jewish businesses in Germany in 1938 after the 1933 Reichstag fire?

I'm referring to Kristallnacht in Germany, 1938.  Jewish businesses were targeted as non-conforming to the Reich.  We seem to have that same thing inverted and redefined, yet eerily comparable here.

Raiding small organic hobby homesteads under the guise of looking for pot destroys someone's business and possible livelihood, not to mention the intimidation factor.  I, for one, would prefer laws that prevent abuse of authority by personnel who cannot tell a marijuana plant from a tomato plant.  I think what is taking place is so outrageously egregious, we cannot continue to look the other way.

The DNR of Michigan is throwing some pretty heavy weight around on the independent pig farmers.  I'm not advocating or promoting the ingestion of pork, but these families are in America and I would be remiss to not support their right to live freely without fear of DNR destroying their farms and livelihood.  DNR is supposed to take care of wildlife, not farm animals, but Big Ag in Michigan has found a point of control, besides money; to destroy independent pig farmers.

One of the first reports at the Goshen Gazette was about the Morningland Dairy raid.  The powers that be, destroyed hundreds of pounds of dairy products needlessly and destructively contaminated the operation.

This information is so alarming, I have actually had some personal reservation in writing this article, but the correlation is too strong, to remain silent.  If I don't speak up now, who will; if my homestead is targeted?

Are badges and uniforms in America the dreaded brown shirts we learned of in history, all the while thinking; it could never happen in America?  Store front windows aren't being broken, farms are being destroyed.  Synagogues aren't being burned, but ordinances and regulations are being drafted to jail preachers, label Bible quotes as hate speech, and shut down generational farming operations.

The local government in regard to the tomato raid in Texas, now claims the SWAT team raid had to do with ordinance violations, which seems all the more hideous.  A SWAT team for city ordinance violation?

The urls are listed below, in case there is difficulty with the links.

So in answer to my question at the beginning of the article.  I've searched for the difference and the one thing I can find is this.  Kristallnaught was perpetrated by the SA extremists and civilians while ignored by authorities, whereas what's happening here in America, is actually sanctioned by our government.

Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.  And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.  a Prophet of Holy Scripture

Where is the Decency?

I can't help but compare these two stories.  We have a 95 year old, WWII Veteran in an assisted living facility, literally killed by police in riot gear.  He served his country surviving the war, but it did take 7 cops to take him out . . . and the nursing home said he was only armed with a cane and a shoehorn.  Now the cops tell a more ominous story, but there is no evidence to support their version and the coroner ruled the death a homicide.  We'll see if any one is actually held accountable.

This gentleman was trying to refuse a surgery that would more than likely leave him on life support.  He wasn't allowed to make that choice and his right to die with dignity was stolen by law enforcement.  Years ago, I worked in long term care.  It would have never occurred to any of us to call the police over a resident, and I remember some clearly combative residents.  Those elderly patients could be out numbered and out powered pretty easily with no harm done.  The main concern of long term care used to be safety of the resident!  Apparently times have changed.

By the way, just for the sake of curiosity, why can't a 95 year old person make their own health choice, especially if they are coherent enough to understand the possible risk?  According to the article in the link below this was confirmed by the doctor in the facility.  So this aged hero couldn't die of "natural causes" before being tasered and shot with bean bag rounds which ultimately caused his death a few hours later, according to the autopsy.  This was quite a write up in the UK.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2385926/War-veteran-John-Wrana-95-dies-police-shoot-Taser-bean-bag-rounds.html

Meanwhile in Guantanamo Bay, five prisoners have been released on their promise to not carry out any terrorist activity, in an effort to extend the olive branch to the Taliban??????????????
According to the Washington Times, another news source has reported that the Taliban has been removed from the "enemies list."  VP Joe Biden says the Taliban is not the enemy of the US.
http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/jul/30/us-releases-5-gitmo-detainees-peace-talks-taliban/
Well, then Mr. Biden, just who is the big threat that we citizens must remain under constant surveillance?

Five prisoners of Gitmo get released on the the "honor's system," but a war hero who served his country valiantly and received an honorable discharge died as he did!

Judge Not . . .

I awoke early this morning to the reality that America is a very judgmental country, even as we continue to sink into the dismal abyss of our own degradation and greed.

I went back to check the dates on these stories, because the one about the young girl had surfaced again.  So, not only are these atrocities in other nations, being reported, the reports are being repeated.  Meanwhile, here in America, some headlines have become history, as permanently as digital history allows, while the violence of the rule of law in our nation, continues to escalate.

When mainstream media reports these headlines in America about other countries:  http://www.cnn.com/2011/WORLD/asiapcf/03/29/bangladesh.lashing.death/index.html

This account is a permanent fixture of Wikipedia, for all the world to see, and there are many more like it in alternative headlines and international news:

The legal violence in America may not be any less ominous than the countries we judge, it may actually even be more.  We know the open sexuality is much more rampant.  Individuality is no longer politically correct, and between Big Pharma and Corporate Farming, Americans are being poisoned and malnourished.  These are the realities of which we are aware, yet continue to "judge" other nations.
Meanwhile, a small percentage of Americans are wondering how much more is really going on behind the grabbing headlines.

There will be a day of reckoning for judging the evil of other nations, while excusing and covering our own.

RIP Bill of Rights . . .

As an internet journalist and blogger, I've been warning of the the demise of the Bill of Rights for some time, now.  It's not like TPTB [the powers that be] are just suddenly going to Tear Up the document.  No, it's been much more subtle than that.

We had the majority of people literally begging to give up freedom for the promise of safety after 9/11!  I remember the people snarling about privacy protection now, were the same ones touting, "Nothing to worry about if you've got nothing to hide!" when I was shouting NO to the USA Patriot Act and the declaration of two misplaced, misled wars.  So, I took to the blogosphere.  Now the "sides" have changed, but the issue and the argument remain.

I've done newsletters for years, but finally realized I could do that on the net, also.  As I read these bills, I'm not thinking we internet journalists will be "grandfathered in" if we don't get in lockstep with the political agenda of the corporate mainstream media.  On the other hand, I'm noticing the alternative news is developing a sort of "new mainstream trend" as well.

Those of us who are posting some discerning questions and alternative information, are being labeled.  It is often very tempting to jump on some bandwagon, but I can't.  Freedom of the press, free speech, and no laws about religion cannot be contained or even necessarily designated in detail without losing the concept of "free."  There are a number of things I don't agree with, and would rather not have forced upon me, but by that same token, I like the freedom to ignore those things or disagree with them.

Too many laws against things, only serve to actually favor other things.  I'm becoming increasingly aware that most of our political correctness involves anti-Bibleness.  I don't deserve a derogatory label for disagreeing with some political correct agenda.  I should be able to freely disagree, and I should be able to freely write about that.  I should be able to freely know that I have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness and that someone is not trying to undermine my liberty.

I realize for many people captivity means safety, and popularity means leadership, and trendy means right, but that isn't the case for all of us, and I'd like as much protection and as many rights as those who disagree with me, but have more power and more money.  If laws can be "bought and paid for" then our freedom has already been sold.  Truth doesn't have to be afraid of "the other side of the story . . ."

Following the Verdict

Let me begin this report by saying, I wasn't there, I'm thankful I wasn't on the jury, but the verdict is in, and that should make it final.  The fact that Florida has had some questionable trials and sentences that have made headlines may cause us all to pause, but I really don't think we want to give up any of the Amendments of the Bill of Rights.  In all the talk of protecting the Constitution, the Bill of Rights is slipping away, and those rights won't come back.  So let's take a deep breath and accept what the jury concluded.  Mr. Zimmerman cannot be legally tried twice, and the trial by public opinion has really been perpetrated politically and by the media.

Let's address a few facts that were mentioned early then apparently, long forgotten.  The pictures of George Zimmerman that night looked like an injured man and the immediate investigation found no reason to press charges.  I truly thought, the fact that he'd been told by the dispatcher to remain in his car might have been instrumental in some sort of charges immediately, but that was not the case.  I also, personally, thought he might have a bit of a "Barney Bad Butt" attitude about his neighborhood watchman status, but that's my personal thought.  Again, I wasn't there, and his neighbors didn't speak ill of him.  Usually when someone has a chip on their shoulder, someone will comment.  A situation in my own "neighborhood" springs to mind.

Our President took an opportunity, once again, to divide this country by stating that Trayvon Martin could have been his son.  The statements President Obama have made about this incident and the verdict have all been very inappropriate.  George Zimmerman is also of minority ethnicity.  Where is his outrage at the number of black youths that die in Chicago?  Chicago is his home city and the place where his buddy Rahm Emanuel is now mayor.  If he's not trying to stir racism, where were his comments about the Casey Anthony trial?  And what about the toddler who was shot and killed in Atlanta by two black teens?

The pictures of Trayvon Martin were intentionally misleading.  They were photos when he was obviously younger.  His school issues were quickly taken out of the reports, and his actual purchase was quickly removed citing political correctness.  He had behavioral problems in school and there were items found in his locker that may have matched items described in burglary reports.  I can't say, since the school reported it with different wording, but he was clearly having problems in school.  Behavioral problems are often indicative of home problems or drug use.

In the research for this article, I came across an interesting fact that may or may not have any bearing on the case, but since the report was actually changed, that's what caused me to wonder. The iced tea and skittles reported to have been purchased by young Martin, wasn't actually iced tea, but rather Arizona Watermelon Juice.  The combination of skittles with this juice product and Robitussin has a street name, Drank or Lean.  It's a very definite part of the Rap culture.  His comments on his social media sites indicate he identified with that culture.  Maybe, just maybe, young Martin's behavior wasn't that of an ordinary kid buying candy and iced tea.

There is no doubt, Zimmerman chose to ignore the instructions given by the dispatcher, but we are choosing to ignore our Bill of Rights; by the presumption of guilt until proven innocence, and the rejection of the verdict of a jury of one's peers.

What witnesses there were, believed George Zimmerman acted in self-defense.  The initial investigation turned up no evidence for arrest.  The friend of Martin's on the phone was caught in lies.  We simply cannot allow this media motivated, politically perpetuated division by party and race to cause us to forfeit our rights.

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sins: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Young Heroes

In the midst of bad news, scary cops, rebellious teens, and racial discord, this story just made me happy.  I've included the link, but I'd like to add my 2¢ Worth.

I don't even own a television, so my access to what's going on in the world is literally cherry picked from the internet.  I don't have to watch advertisements, I don't have any favorite show or program or even news as far as that goes.  I choose my news items by the headline, not the ratings or shock value.  If the headline is just a grabber, I can click again.

I shared all those details because the majority of households are continuously inundated with all sorts of programming, persuasive advertising, propaganda, and promos.  These two young gentlemen could have been just as easily influenced by the media to do nothing, or with all the racially motivated news as of late, they could have made their decision of involvement based upon that; but they didn't.  They clearly have an understanding of what it is to "love your neighbor" and the account of the Good Samaritan.

Two fifteen year old young men, not old enough to drive, but clearly possessing mature values, heard a little 5 year old girl in the neighborhood was missing.  They heard the description of the car, and set out on their bicycles, up and down neighborhood streets and perhaps alleys, until they spotted the car.  They, then chose to follow the car.  Now, I'm thinking, as I read the story; they really are just kids themselves.

Apparently, when the driver realized he was being followed, he stopped the car and had the little girl get out! Last I read, they hadn't found the alleged abductor, but thanks to two quick thinking, brave young men, that little girl is home safe and sound.

Which now of these three, thinkest thou, was neighbour unto him that fell among the thieves?  And he said, He that showed mercy on him. Then said Y'hshuwah unto him, Go, and do thou likewise.  the Gospel according to Luke

Exporting, Importing, and Immigration

Remember when America invaded Iraq and the comment was made that we were exporting democracy?   Ideology really doesn't import or export, but it does arrive through immigration.

I read an interesting article about a man who has brought his family to take refuge in America from Iraq.  I believe in 2006 or 2007 we were slated to receive 7000 Iraqis from their war torn country.  I am glad these people can live in peace, now, but as I read the article about the cameraman, several thoughts came to mind.

Since this is my a-political place of expression, I did notice a few things in the 8 minute video and the article that accompanied it.  Although the man spoke very well of this opportunity to be safe, his sorrow for having to give up his home was very evident.   Before his country was invaded, he had enjoyed a very respected position as a cameraman for media, as did his brother.  His first job in America was at Tyson, and now he's a custodian for the school.  He still hopes of returning to the career for which he studied and was respected for his excellence.

The video did mention, that the family has been able to return to Baghdad, once, and he feels it's even more unsafe and unstable than it was when he left.  He was able to seek refuge here, because his life was threatened and his brother was killed by militias that raised up in violent power after the death of Saddam Hussein.

There were many images of his wife and their devotion to Islam appeared apparent.  They now have twin daughters who were born here and are American citizens and their mother very proudly said they will be able to vote and maybe even be president.  The Muslim population has more than doubled, nearing triple increase in America since the Iraq invasion, and most of the increase has been from immigration, legal mind you, but immigration.

Islam will expand, in America because it is prophesied that Abraham's descendants would be under his covenant blessing.  Isaac was the son of promise, but as the son of Abraham, Ishmael was blessed, also.  We, Americans, seem too often to forget that Genesis 12:3 was spoken directly to Abraham before any sons were born, and Genesis 16:12, confirmed that the descendants of Ishmael would be numerous, and cover a lot of ground.

It is my opinion that President Obama has been given entirely too much credit for bringing Islam to this nation.  It was spoken by YHWH in Genesis 15:5, that Abraham's descendants would be as numerous as the stars and sand, also before either son was born.  This is truly a bigger situation than we realize!   I suggest, if we're going to claim a Biblical perspective on this, we should probably check the order of what has been stated.

I've included the link for the article and video, as well as passages from Torah.

Is Anarchy the New Rule of Law?

This particular blog has been my soap box for some time now, and as the news gets stranger, I'm thankful more people are sharing information.  I try to present just facts in many articles in the Goshen Gazette, but this particular site is unabashedly anti-political and openly, my own perspective.  There are just too many questionable situations going on with the treatment of citizens, criminal investigation, and law enforcement practices.  This first example just literally boggled my mind, and it is close enough to home to be discussed and questioned.
http://www.krmg.com/news/news/local/man-found-decapitated-police-suspect-suicide/nYNZh/

I was a Funeral Director before becoming a follower of Messiah and to be honest, I saw the seamier side of the human condition in that the company I worked for had a contract with the county.  The city was large, so sudden and traumatic deaths were sadly a regular occurrence. Never, however; did I see a suicide by decapitation, much less with extremities bound.

These next examples of what appears to be random situations, are quite alarming, in that in at least two of these situations, law suits were reported to be settled with sizable sums awarded to the plaintiffs.  The problem with this, is the law suits are civil matters, so criminal charges are not usually filed.  This is making news in other countries, so while we're looking at Egypt's uproar, we seem oblivious to the condition of our country.

This case was particularly troubling in that the cover story was later disproved in court, and the family was awarded an amazing amount of money from the Police Department, but it of course won't bring the victim back to life, I couldn't find any report of criminal charges being filed, and the response of the Department to the cover story being proven a lie, was, no comment.

The next reports are three different incidents, and I found more, but this makes the point.  Obviously, everyone with authority doesn't abuse it due to their own issues or lack of integrity, but we don't know who does and who doesn't, by a badge.  I don't litter, I watch my speed, and due to my age, I don't worry about being strip searched if stopped, but my lack of worry is due to my age and faith in G-d, not my confidence in the discretionary decision making of someone with control issues.

Pride and Prejudice

I'm going to get a bit personal today here at Contemplation, because I'm being led to expand the ministry and this subject has been on my heart in preparation for some time.  It's so easy to get caught up in the "them against us" mentality, and to argue over moral legislation, but I have a different perspective.  I don't argue against what I don't believe in, I try to make the positive change before it comes to that. While the decided adults are arguing the results of the SCOTUS regarding DOMA, there is a generation of kids who will be greatly influenced by the outreach of the new agenda.  I heard over and over at the celebration, that "it's about the children;" and it is!

I refer to myself as a disenfranchised or solitary heterosexual. I am a woman, and I identify as a woman. I'm not attracted to women, I love men, but as friends, and so far they feel same toward me . . . I'm not speaking against marriage, I've tried it several times.  As it turns out, I am passionately platonic . . . I support marriage for those who can do it, but personally, I celebrate celibacy.

I'm addressing the fact that there are individuals who do not desire heterosexual intimacy but do not identify LGBT, and we're being left out; disenfranchised. I think people, especially young people, are being pressured to gender identify and it's causing confusion for many people. There has always been religious pressure to marry, but not all of us are marriage material. Paul referred to this in I Corinthians 7, and I received a real revelation that our sexually exploitative society pressures everyone to “identify.” It used to be okay for men to be confirmed bachelors or cranky curmudgeons and spinsters could be crazy cat ladies, and that was okay! Everyone doesn't have to fit a sexual stereotype, although I guess that description was pretty stereotypical.

I wasn't the "princess type" Daddy's girl, I refer to myself as the un-son that could put a spiral on a football and go off the diving board before I was old enough to go to school. I identified with my Dad's interests, but never even thought it required a sexual identity, just interest.   My mom, however; thought otherwise, so I was forced to do feminine things like play the piano, with the musical talent of a rusty gate hinge. It's like all the things she wanted me to do, I wasn't good at, which certainly could have caused issues . . . She sewed and dressed my younger sister and I alike until I was in Jr. High, which did, in fact, inspire me to take up sewing so I could make my own clothes.

On top of being a bit on the tomboyish side, I was the darkest child in my classes until desegregation.  In elementary school I was bullied, so I didn't really have friends, but due to my home life, even though bullied, school was my refuge.  None of us know which children are seeking acceptance or refuge now, really; for whatever reason.

As I got older, my friends at school were mostly guys and they didn't want to date me.  I usually did have one or two “token” female friends, in an attempt to not just be "one of the guys."   In those days, I was not dating material.  I was too dark for the white guys, and there were very few black families in that small community, who pretty much did their own socializing. Back then, I was just an awkward brown dork, but now 35 to 40 years later, somebody would be telling me otherwise . . . I would have been targeted [invited] for this social agenda!

Some people simply do not define themselves sexually, beyond what YHWH has defined; in male or female.  Some people are more defined by interests than gender identity.  I believe there are a number of young people who just don't fit the gender stereotypes or the "fit in" herd mentality, who are being programmed to believe they are LGBT.  Now that a "Q" has been added to this agenda, for those who would "question," I have a question.

How many young people have ever taken their questions about sexuality to their parents or religious leaders?

I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good for them if they abide even as I.  But if they cannot contain, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.  -  the Apostle Paul

Freedom . . . Nothin' Left to Take

Snowden is in the news every day and I continue to wonder how this turns out.  Of course, he's charged with something . . . he didn't "just follow orders."  It's getting easier and easier to see why those guys at Nuremberg chose the answer they did.  I'm not condoning their actions at all, as there is no excuse for what took place in Nazi Germany, but just comparing the fact that they didn't have the chutzpah Mr. Snowden did.  I'm finding the questions and comments quite interesting.  Is he a traitor or a hero?  One comment stood out amidst all the rest.  "He's not a hero, he simply did the right thing."

I'd like to think most Americans have a line they have drawn that would simply be where they dig their heels in and say, "That is beyond what I can accept as acceptable."  I don't know where that is for others, and I don't think others know where that is for me, but it is essential that we each examine ourselves and truly determine where that is.

This land of the free and home of the brave is under surveillance, and the same power that can monitor my phone, cannot find the illegal immigrants or stop a bombing.  I'm reminded of a time several years ago, when I found a "home made bomb" at the corner of my house.  At least that's what the officer called it, when I reported it.  He borrowed my husband's pocket knife to destroy the evidence, explaining that it had enough gun powder in it to blow the corner out of the house, but he didn't opt to make a report.  When I enquired as to why, he said the chances of catching the person who had done this was too slim to put the man power on it.  This was after 9/11 and the USA Patriot Act.

Now this was the same city that was monitoring the height of the grass and giving citations for unexposed brick sidewalks, that resulted in liens against properties.  This was also the same city that was absolutely surrounded by property for sale, but set it's sights on the business property of an independent who had been in business for 50 years.  Within a year of the SCOTUS decision regarding eminent domain, the business man was out of business.

The Powers That Be can take our land, monitor our phone calls, and now randomly take DNA samples.  Oh, I know, it's only under loosely defined arrest circumstances.  How long do you think it will be before a crisis check point uses biometric ID for the victims to be allowed back into the homes in which they have paid for, maintain, and pay their taxes?

To be honest, I'm a bit weary with the religious patriotism and the just following policy nationalism.  The people of our nation are being divided on issues that are already out of our control.  This is not one side of the aisle doing this, it's coming from both parties.  It's been building law upon law, loss of freedom upon loss of freedom . . .  I am not advocating anarchy, I'm advocating awareness!  The choice we have left in this land of the free and home of the brave is simply where we, as an individual say, "I'm brave enough to say this land is no longer free?"

I've included some links, for events that may be coming soon, to a random check point near you!

When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.  a Proverb of Holy Scripture

Sunday, June 16, 2013

Dear Mr. President:

Every President since I became of voting age has received a letter from me, but to be honest, I just wasn't sure about what to write to you.  I can't see much difference between your administration and the previous one, except you seem so aloof.  I will tell you this, I didn't vote for him, but GW had much better correspondent banquets because he didn't mind being the butt of everyone's jokes.  They were really funny, like a roast!  Yet I digress . . .

Now, I know what I want to discuss.  Privacy.

I grew up with an intrusive micro-managing mother who kept a lock on the gate in the backyard.  She listened to my phone calls, read my diary, and her choice in the doctor was like a god.  She laid the groundwork for political correctness with mandated and enforced sibling peacekeeping.  I couldn't wait to grow up and be free!  Well, I was 43, when the USA Patriot Act was signed into being, so I did enjoy about 25 years of freedom.  Believe you me, I know the difference, from both directions in life!

Mr. President, unless you are planning to place yourself in some sort of permanent position of authority, you really don't want everyone counting down the days until 2016, do you?  I mean, I feel Washington DC is far removed from American life that it's just a matter of changing names every 4, 6, or 8 years and noticing the catchy campaign slogans that make useless promises.

I was truly hoping America would wake through the Reagan years, or at least after; but money was more important than freedom and now America is broke and we're losing our freedoms as well.  Mr. President, you have done for America what my mother did for my sister and I.  Locking us all down and making us say the right things, and don't even get me started on medical matters . . . has only served to divide the country further and cause most of us to realize, we're not even being heard.   The US of America is just as dysfunctional as the American family, and as I have learned, only the special interest groups or those in abject lock-step are accommodated.

Mr. President, the democratic party has become just as intolerant, extreme, and out of touch as the republican party; just at the other end of the political spectrum!  I've had the feeling for a few years now, the political agenda in Washington is simply to keep the people divided while our representatives and "leaders" live like aristocratic royalty . . .  For a guy that offered hope and change, and now forward, it seems the opinions of the we the people simply don't matter.  Mr. President, to feel that I'm reliving the invasively mandated, containment of my childhood, was not the change I was hoping for.

Mr. President, Sir, you should know that invasiveness, intrusion, surveillance, and containment are the opposite of freedom.
You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free ~ words of Messiah

Red Herring - IRS

With Congress passing the appeal to Obama Care and the IRS under fire right before it was supposed to become the enforcement arm of mandatory health insurance, I smell a red herring . . .

I could include a few links to the "IRS hearings" going on, but to be honest, I truly do think it's smoke and mirrors.  There is something more ominous than the IRS picking on the Tea Party.  No offense to the Tea Party, but they had pretty much fizzled out and they had their 501c4 granted, even though it was a long and arduous path, which is uncalled for, this still smells like an old red herring . . . or perhaps a blue herring.  Color not withstanding, American politics just stinks.

As Congress plays with Obama Care, yet again, after the Supreme Court has already made a decision, we know that's a herring of some color, too.  Health care in this country has to be reformed on some level.  The fact that the IRS is now under fire tells me the IRS is about to be moved or transferred into a position of great government authority.

Here's the way I see it, and perhaps I sound skeptical, but truth be told, I think terms like skeptical, cynical, and even conspiratorial have replaced the term, logic, in our society.  We simply can not get rid of taxation now.  We can't stay ahead of the debt with taxes!  There has to be some sort of assessment, collection, and enforcement.  We all know that, it's a given.  Without taxes, there is no infrastructure, which by the way has also been neglected and in disrepair while taxes have been collected.  So, basically, these hearings will result in greater governmental power to include the IRS as a powerful arm of authority.

The IRS is a service of an agency within a department, under the commission of the federal government, yet can't really fire the woman who won't resign . . . The IRS maintains a very nebulous description of what governmental power it truly has, yet exercises great authority.  So much authority, the top officials still get paid while refusing to resign, even after stating they aren't very good at math . . .

I am expecting a new arm of enforcement to arise from all of this.  I expect laws to be in place that the head of this service/agency/department/commission will wield a great deal of power to collect and incarcerate, even more than in the past.  I also believe a great deal of this power will be aimed at those who do not choose to be a part of Health Care Reform.   Cases of opting out of health care for religious reasons are already being prosecuted.  Now, a plan that doesn't meet the government criteria will also be prosecutable, and most everyone who is already using the ER for a primary physician will fall into the category of supplemental vouchers or medicaid.

These red herring hearings will produce a greater connection between oversight and taxation, and the people lose, either way, but with these hearings, some are given the impression they are being heard.  I've listened to a few of these videos and to be honest, much of it seems staged.  We are looking at the true change from presumed freedom to mandatory indentured servitude.  Revision in the IRS will be the path to debtor's prison and manual labor.

We know the Revelation tells us at some point there will be no buying and selling without the mark of the beast.  There is already in America, no buying and selling, no doing business, no taking donations, and now very soon, no health care without the authority of the IRS.

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.  the Revelation of Holy Scripture

Interesting Coincidence

I realize I've been leaning heavily against Monsanto, but my stand isn't just AGAINST, I'm standing FOR quite a bit, also. I believe we need to get back to the basics designed by our Creator, before it's too late. From the headlines, I'd say we better hurry. Now, realizing the chance of Big Corporations actually changing their ways, is slim to none, we as individuals can at least see what's happening and make a reasonable decision. My decision was repentance and running back to the garden . . . and sharing what I can with whomever is interested and inquires.

This man shouldn't have had to fight the government to do what he's been doing. The USDA and FDA should be protecting him, rather than what he went through. Vernon Hershberger, is a man who appears to be working according to the regulation of a greater power than Big Corp and corrupt government. I do like it when the good guys win . . . and now the other guys.

There have been some very disturbing connections that I believe are far beyond coincidental. Donald Rumsfeld has been the subject of my searches through the years, as well as Clarence Thomas, and now Michael R. Taylor joins their ranks. These three men have a particular professional presence as well as shared career opportunities. They have enjoyed the revolving door between representing Monsanto's interests and government power. Now, of course, there has been no "conflict of interest," just interesting appointments and opportunities between Big business, and Big government, and interestingly it crosses party lines.

Donald Rumsfeld seemed the most defined by party. He was in the private sector through the transition when government began to work for business. When he left the position of Secretary of Defense in the 70's, he became president of GD Searle Co. That company is no longer officially in business, but it brought us aspartame and the approval thereof through his leadership and good republican connections in the White House through the Reagan administration. GD Searle Co managed to acquire several pharmaceutical sibsidiaries before it became a part of Monsanto.

Clarence Thomas was an attorney in St. Louis, and just like Mr. Taylor, one of the clients of his firm was Monsanto. Now, I'm not being conspiranoid here to say, it has to be convenient to have Mr. Thomas on the Supreme Court when Monsanto does lose a case in a lower level court. Monsanto can afford to appeal all the way to the Supreme Court, while the independent farmer loses the case he first won. And of course, there's no reason Judge Thomas should recuse himself, right . . . Keep in mind, while this present administration appears to be running wild, our president still answers to Big business. Clarence Thomas has been on that bench since the first Bush administration.

Now comes Michael R. Taylor. He's been a bit bolder in his use of the revolving door. He goes straight to it. He was in government in the late 70's FDA specifically, as a staff attorney, then went private practice through the Reagan years and managed to get some things changed to redefine risk managment in food additives, lessening the restrictions and oversight . . . Went straight back into FDA accepting a "newly created position" in 1991. Although his name doesn't appear on everything he co-authored, he did a lot to lessen the labeling and reduce restrictions. He moved to the USDA in 1994 and remained there until he temporarily returned to private practice before becoming Vice President for Public Policy at Monsanto, until 2000.

He's been at a think tank since then, until he re-entered politics as Senior Advisor to the FDA Commisioner in 2009. On January 13, 2010, he was appointed to another newly created post at the FDA, this time as Deputy Commissioner for Foods. It almost seems his illustrious career has been one of strategically pressing interests of Biotechnology by way of government oversight. Having now held two newly created posts appointed by Presidents of both parties, Mr. Taylor appears to be quite the bi-partisan trail blazer, while the people are getting burned.

A Lab in Tornado Alley

Hoof and mouth disease has been eradicated in this country because some very wise people or person made a very wise decision years and years ago. Please allow me to share this awesome information and the upcoming plans.

On a little island off of New York, there is a lab that has been run so efficiently and cautiously that hoof and mouth disease has been basically eradicated in this country, as well as other strains of potentially dangerous disease has been analyzed. The stringency of the protocol has been beyond hospital OR standards. All lab uniforms have remained in that facility, with employees changing, showering, etc. upon leaving. I read if an employee wants to take their kids to the circus, they have to take a vacation to do so. There have been no chances taken, and no precaution overlooked to keep the herds of America safe from hoof and mouth disease.

Now fast forward to this new millenium and the decision that the facility in the harbor was outdated. First there was the big contest as to where the new one would be built. Are you ready? Manhattan, KS won. The building is due to commence in less than a year.

This bothers me on many levels.
First, there is the trust issue of questioning, who in the world with a position of authority, ever nominated one of the agricultural centers of the Midwest to be the new home of death and disease?
Second, Manhattan, KS is in the heart of farm and range country, so rather than isolating a potential problem, any possible leaks could leave the herds of the country in jeopardy.
Third, the possibility of putting down livestock on a precautionary basis wouldn't surprise me at all, especially if there are still any independent ranchers in the vicinity.
Fourth, weather can be affected, even engineered, and the far reaching effects or potential fallout, if you will, is not yet understood. We don't know if making snow in Colorado could adversely affect weather in Kansas.
Fifth, it will, in all probability, cause the official registering of animals and probably microchipping, which will put a lot of independents out of business, due to cost alone, or deeply in debt with no possible sign of recovery. Just where is the fine line between the marking of the beasts and the mark of the beast?

Sixth, it brings out an attitude in me that is somewhere between paranoid and cynical, certainly less than spiritual, that just wants to stand up and scream, "Didn't any of you Bozos in charge ever see the Wizard of Oz?"

Seventh, we've seriously seen the devastation of EF5 tornadoes and claiming to be able to build a structure that can withstand the strongest winds in tornado alley sounds dangerously akin to the statement made about the Titanic being unsinkable.

Big Brother, Why Art Thou?

Is it Washington DC politics, or is the White House just a decoy to distract? Washington politics is openly dirty and the legal shenanigans of politicians, for the most part goes unchecked, so why is it that our leaders can be so "transparent" in their disrespect, while "we the people" are being held, constantly, to the ridiculous status of potential criminals? A blatant disregard of tax laws pervaded the appointments of this administration, yet the offenders were still appointed, while children are being labeled criminals at an early age with records that will haunt them the rest of their lives. What is wrong with this picture?

Clearly right and wrong are not the issue and respect of the law is irrelevant. Are the real "powers that be" just seeing what we will put up with and the bondage we will endure, as long as we can choose political sides to blame? Why is it, that our elected and appointed leaders are no longer expected to set a standard?

The IRS is of course gaining power and according to the implications of mandated health care, soon to be a real source of job creation. I can't remember how many new agents will be needed to process the health care mandate. Not to mention, how many full time jobs can be created to make life difficult for political activism. Maybe they'll just give bonuses and overtime for that. Keep in mind the IRS is not actually part of the government, but "hired" to collect and tabulate taxes.
While the IRS is being ramped up to keep the ordinary citizens in fearful obligatory obedience, I'm reminded of the number of appointed politicians we now have lording over us, who didn't have to live in obligation or obedience. I remember, it seemed, every other appointee had a little tax matter to clear up.

While politicians continue to have their own special rules, about allowing ambassadors to die, avoiding taxes, stock piling ammo and creating Executive Orders while tabling and re-voting between vacations, we have real crime to deal with, and across America, we are teaching our children . . .

Contained in this article are some general observation of how the public schools are teaching our children.

Audibly burping in class is rude, no doubt. Actually it's more than an etiquette offense or bad manners, in New Mexico it's a misdemeanor if that alleged accusation is worded properly. In this case the official charge at the time of his booking: “interfering with public education.” Yes, according to the lawsuit filed, he was booked.

Now comes the horrific "crime" of doodling Although, using a marker does indicate something needed to be addressed in this doodling issue, the old school remedy would have been cleaning all the desks, working with the custodian after school or at recess, something reasonable that showed cause and effect. Zero tolerance has turned into zero common sense and certainly is not teaching children that their actions require remedy, but rather are desensitizing them to the justice system, and public education which in this case, both look incredibly stupid.
In all fairness I want to post this link that reports some states are re-evaluating their zero tolerance policies. The article indicated that it may have dawned upon a few folks that zero tolerance has the sum total of zero common sense, as well.

A Standout Student was suspended for the rest of her senior year over taking the wrong lunch to school. She and her dad both say the lunches got mixed up in the morning and nobody realized it until the school searched the lunchboxes for drugs and found the paring knife and whole apple. The father said the paring knife was in there to slice his apple through his lunch, but the school saw it differently because the girl hadn't "confessed" before they found it. Personally, I wouldn't want these kind of people teaching my child. So, she's finishing her senior year online and been charged with a misdemeanor. I'm sure some college, will understand . . .

This next story just makes my blood boil on too many levels. Maybe kids are having so many labels because they simply do not know how to cope with so much stupidity surrounding them. Maybe kids wouldn't have so many disorders and labels if they could just play outdoors in June . . .

Possible sex crime? I cannot believe a 56 year old was a part of making this report? As a 55 year old, all I can say is "Did this educator attend public school in the US, growing up?" "Were they involved in society at all, as a child?" Should someone who apparently does not know the difference between someone who is enamoured and someone who is accosting, be in a position of authority? What in the world is a person this inept in regard to human behavior doing working with children or in education?
Sexual battery Here is another example of adults with no sense.

I'm going to use this last example to bring it on home to my title question. Now a five year old gets a knock on the door, because some cop is "just following orders" because some librarian has her panties in a bunch and executive cabinet appointees can just pay their taxes, when they get caught? Does America really need to be using the brutish man power to intimidate children when adult legislators are evading taxes. I'm guessing economically speaking, collecting the taxes from some high power politicians is a better use of government dollars than cops collecting library fines. http://boston.cbslocal.com/2012/01/02/charlton-library-sends-police-to-collect-overdue-books-from-5-year-old/ Overdue library books and uncollected fines can be charged as a misdemeanor, whereas I believe tax evasion was what put Al Capone in prison

Here is a quote from the New Testament in the words of Messiah regarding the treatment of children.
It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. the Gospel according to Luke 17:2

Riddle Me This . . .

Basement Gardening Bust photo from AP

The man in the article linked above was a simple law abiding citizen of our country, specifically Kansas. As a matter of fact, he and his wife both had CIA clearance at one time . . . I have also included an alternative media link regarding the new Kansas legislation about guns, as well as a newspaper link covering the legislation and the Attorney General's response. Wichita Eagle

All of this has truly raised a very significant question, in my mind. I've included also included a link citing the Bill of Rights for those of us trying to remember them and see if any of them still exist anywhere except as a historical document.

Now, what would have happened to this man in Leawood, Kansas if he had chosen to exercise his Second Amendment rights to protect his Fourth Amendment rights?

Even if he were holding a gun made and sold in Kansas and Eric Holder had not written a letter to the Governor, I think we all have a pretty good idea of what would have happened if he'd even attempted, in his own home, to stand on the Bill of Rights. This big gun control debate is nothing more than yet another way to divide the people over something that is already gone.

Also included is a photo from Watertown, MS, Friday, April 19, 2013.

Tower of Babel?

This new and higher World Trade Center building truly bears a great many similarities to the tower described in Genesis 11. It is in the same city as the UN, Wall Street and it's been a source of "coming together" to disagree and accommodate in a politically correct manor. While the debate of a "Ground Zero" mosque has continued to be in the forefront, we've overlooked some amazing similarities to our very own tower of babel, right here in America.

First, "they" always throw something emotional and controversial out to start the big division, knowing full well already, the course that will be taken. This is done to keep "we the people" busy and not noticing what else is transpiring. It's the exact same principle as keeping a room full of kindergarteners playing "I spy" while the custodian looks for the snake that escaped from the fifth grade science class. Those kindergarteners are looking at and for everything in the room except a snake!

http://www.cnn.com/2013/05/02/us/new-york-world-trade-center-topping/index.html?hpt=hp_c2

Upon reading this link, a revelation truly hit me. While the religiously assured have all eyes on the UN and all blame on Obama, we've lost sight of the real power that prevails. Scripture doesn't say false religions are the root of all evil. And Scripture doesn't say false peace organizations are the root of all evil. Scripture says, "The love of money is the root of all evil." It's the New World Trade Center. How far is this from Wall Street or the UN? I've always had a sickening feeling that the UN was just a decoy or at the most, the enforcement arm of the real power. Maybe it's the fig tree leafing out, to which Messiah referred as a sign of the last generation before His return. I don't know, but we do know material riches is the one topic in which no one can find any discrepency throughout Messiah's teachings and Paul's writings . . . That in itself should be significant to New Testament believers. No matter how you interpret "grace" love of wealth is still the straight line between evil and loss of your soul.

Has the Prosperity Gospel caused us to miss this important fact? No doubt the UN is a part of bringing the world together in common issues, yet these issues are all divisive. Undoubtedly there is significant moves of ecumenicism between all religions, as well as greater animosity building. There is no question that the perpetual motion of the economy is keeping the world bustling, yet with all the talk of even distribution of wealth, it won't ever happen. Even distribution of wealth will not happen for two very clear and simple reasons. First, the very wealthy are not going to just share, and by very wealthy, I'm not just talking about the 1%. Even in the Middle Class, people do not want their wealth redistributed either, and those impoverished may not have money but often cling the tightest to their possessions. Although we all have different reasons and can easily see where someone else could and should, the bottom line is; people do cling to earthly things, like them, and simply do not want to share.

This will be the area of mankind that beckons the greatest control and monitoring. This New World Trace Center is by Scriptural definition a "high place," a tribute unto ourselves, a modern tower of babel. This monument unto confusion may very likely cast it's shadow on the UN and provide shelter for Wall Street.

And when Y'hshuwah saw that he was very sorrowful, he said, How hardly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of G-d!
