And Today Our Questions Address Domestic Issues

As you know, I'm not a Republican, but the people that mail the Republican Party Census Document don't seem to be aware of that, so I would like to express my appreciation for their oversight and thank them for this wonderful opportunity to have been given this insight into the programming of their partisan constituents.
Today, we will address matters on the home front, which of course, differs from the first section pertaining to Homeland Security.

1. Do you agree that we must stop illegal immigration?
*Answer: I thought the agreement our President made with the leaders of Canada and Mexico, back in March of 2005 brought three countries into a North American Union or Community. Since we're all just a part of the same big continent, didn't that stop the need to address immigration?

2. Should Republicans oppose Senator Clinton's one size fits all, government-run health care?
*Answer: Hillary's health care plan didn't happen, remember? Isn't it already assumed that the Republicans will protect and preserve the government-run health care for the elderly, rather than the children?

3. Should we continue working for serious tort reform to protect individuals and small businesses from predatory lawsuits?
*Answer: By the terms "individuals and small businesses" you are referring to doctors and clinics . . . would that be correct? Perhaps the real focus should be the protection of patients' rights, although I do think it was helpful for health care to have some of the doctors leave their practices to enter politics.

4. Should we make sure President Bush's judicial nominees receive fair hearings and up or down votes in the Senate even when Democrats threaten a filibuster?
*Answer: Is this question about judicial nominees or controlling the "other party"? President Bush will only be in office one more year . . . Will this question read the same if it pertains to a Democrat President and a Republican filibuster threat?

5. Should Republicans in Congress protect our private property rights from eminent domain?
*Answer: If the President won't and the Republican appointed Supreme Court Justices won't, then it would be nice if someone in Congress would protect the people's rights.

. . . every man did that which was right in his own eyes. Holy Scripture
