Young, good looking, athletic and yet . . . the engagement is called off and the attempt to control him with his son has been interesting if not ineffectual. I guess, every time I see this mess in the headlines I just can't help but wonder about a few other details. Like just what was the family values mom doing through all the time that led up to the famous teen-age love story. Why was the young Palin allowed to date a guy that was a high school drop out, that turns out will pose for Playgirl? Where is the mom/grandma as little Trig and Trip are growing up in Wasilla? I don't understand this Hatfield and McCoy situation when it could have easily been avoided by a stay at home mom with family values. I did some checking, it seems Bristol grew up with a very busy mom. Just can't help but wonder if kids that are left to their own devices come up with some ideas that are not always so great! As Levi is vilified on behalf of Sarah, I just can't help but wonder why a mom who is supposedly so conservative in her family values and with such a large family chooses to spend so much time away from home. Maybe if the children had been living in the governor's mansion like most families do when a parent is elected to such an office, there wouldn't have been so much unsupervised time at home for young men like Levi to spend time.
It seems to me, Levi Johnston is a basic teen-ager that's been given little direction or held to much accountability, but then it seems that Sarah is a full grown woman that likes power and attention and that seems to have left Bristol home to raise herself and her younger siblings. I realize not all situations are as they appear, but that is how it seems. I think it really is time to stop giving these teens so much attention for what they have done. There are teen-agers all over the world that have managed to make babies. I just think it's sad that Bristol now is on her own again, raising another generation.

Altruism at it's Truly Finest
I've been watching this health care reform theatre for some time now, and commenting on it as the occasion arose. Now that it's a fact, I think I see more to it than I realized before. Oh, I know, all the old people are afraid of the death panels and all the young people now have even less motivation to grow up and get a job than before, but I have now seen something in a completely new light. I realize it's been debatable which side of the aisle was taking over America, but the fact is, Washington has been taking over the country, for years. The democrats have realized that the majority of the people will go along with bigger government if they promise some sort of cookie along the way. The republicans still can't seem to understand, the elite lose their aristocracy if they become the common majority, so they force issues, which ultimately causes the people to elect another democrat. But this time, I saw the two sides working together back at the beginning of this presidential campaign. I saw the republicans throwing this one, and I saw, then, Candidate Obama moving through the crowds and gaining political power like I've never seen before. But he had something Hillary didn't have. He had no record regarding health care reform, and both sides of the aisle knew that. She shot herself in the foot as first lady when she was going to transform health care. Now Obama had a clean slate, so to speak, and by now the powers that be realized the American people would not even have to be coerced or dumbed down, if they could have the power over the medicine. President Bush had already signed into law the e-records and veri-chip plan. The American people are disgustingly subservient when it comes to their health. A doctor can tell anyone to do just about anything, and regardless, the vast majority of Americans will do it. Now, as far as I'm concerned, the physician's assistants, the nurses, and the techs have simply been walking in lock step, "just following orders," for years. I know of what I speak. Before I walked with G~D, I worked in the health care industry, but I repented twenty years ago from doing that to others, and then about 10 years ago, I repented from faith in medicine and pharmaceuticals, all together. I've never felt better! Now that holding a doctor accountable is called a "frivolous law suit," and pharmaceutical errors are simply "class action settlements" and the rest of the health care workers have one of two excuses, either they were following orders, or it's the way it's always been done . . . I can't help but feel kind of good watching the health care professionals squirm. It's truly poetic justice for what they have put the people through, and now they will have to share the control with the government. I have found my stand regarding health care has been considered, either more controversial than red/blue politics, or simply the rantings of someone that is unproven. I don't think the government really cares who lives and who dies, it's about the money and the power, but then I've thought for years, that modern medicine was about money and power. If it wasn't, would catastrophic illness be the number one reason for bankruptcy? If it wasn't about money and power, would the health care professionals be so worried about giving up their money and power? I'd say most health care professionals will feign having seen the light, but the reality is, they had years to get out of the corrupt system, but the money was just too good, and the prestige unquestionable. Now, they are sure they don't want to be treated by the government the same way, they've treated their frightened patients.

Iraq
Today marks the seventh anniversary of America's invasion of Iraq, which was then called a "pre-emptive strike." Then there was the "mission accomplished" sign and speech just three weeks later. Next came the information that we had gone in on "bad intelligence," but we didn't let that stop us from setting up a kangaroo court to murder the deposed leader of that sovereign nation. Finally came the hope and promise, our troops would come home, shortly after the election. Well, it's been over a year now, and the new promise is 2011. And . . . amazingly, there are still Americans that believe this war in Iraq is somehow connected with 9/11.

Missouri Owes this Country an Apology
I've really been on a campaign of sorts, reminding myself and encouraging others to choose life. It was through all this enthusiasm a thought crossed my mind. On behalf of my state, Missouri, I'd like to apologize to the entire country. Back in 2000, John Ashcroft was running against Mel Carnahan for the US Senate. Mel Carnahan and his son were killed in a plane crash just weeks before the election. Well, having already had Mr. Ashcroft for a governor, Missourians were not shy about electing a deceased person to be our Senator. We knew John Ashcroft wasn't going to represent us! At any rate, the thought occurred to me, just the other day. If we, Missourians, had not chosen a dead man over John Ashcroft, perhaps the USA Patriot Act would not have come to pass. Imagine a world where you could board a plane without security knowing what you look like naked! Imagine a world where nobody had to debate whether or not simulated drowning was torture! Imagine a world where a strong nation didn't just start wars, because they were mad and didn't want to confront the real parties responsible! Imagine a world where the USA didn't look like paranoid war-mongers! Imagine a world in which a state that was familiar with the candidates would choose life, rather than death! I'm sorry country, I'm sorry world, that we, Missourians, elected a dead guy, because had we voted differently, John Ashcroft would have simply been 1 in a 100 Senators, rather than Attorney General of the United States. We'll never get the results and long term effects of that election remedied.

My Body, Shouldn't it be My Choice?
I guess if I were going to offer a concise observation on the politicians in general, I would find one area in which they all seem to agree. The liberals don't think we are able to make our own choices, so they will make them for us; and the republicans are anti-choice, which they call pro-life. I find it fascinating that they think they are so diametrically opposed on party lines and yet they really are just about power. I can't help but liken all the hard core anti-choice women with Nancy Pelosi. Nancy likes her power, and the anti-choice women like theirs, even though they disagree with Nancy on abortion. I can honestly say, I've never met a die hard pro-lifer that didn't trap a man into a marriage with a baby on the way. It would seem they use a different "approach" to gain their power and take choices away. Now Nancy is going to take our choice for our own bodies and I don't understand that. As a woman, I thought Nancy P. and the rest of the dems vowed to fight and maintain a woman's right to choose what happens to her body. Well, Nancy P. I don't choose to have secular health care. It's my body, it should be my right to choose!

Scare Tactics
Time for a little sermonette here at CoP. It isn't just the politicians saying ridiculous things. So, giving credit where credit is due, religiously speaking, there is a difference between calling attention to bad news and proclaiming good news. There is a huge difference between sounding a warning for preparedness and running around crying "the sky is falling." I'm going to call it like it is, with these so called religious prophets for profit, just like I call it with the politicians. Stop scaring and fleecing all these people with your gloom and doom words and exorbitant survival supplies. Good shepherds do not scare the flock nor fleece it. Enough already. If someone is truly getting messages, visions, and dreams from G~D, then share that because if it's from G~D, there is also contained in the information, the plan of redemption. I'm telling people to get ready and I'm making several suggestions. What I find the most interesting and irritating are the very people who are eating up these "scare tactic spam forwards" gloss right over what I tell them and forward me more of this ridiculous information. I'm discerning a real difference between those that are truly seeking and hearing G~D and those that are entertained by the strong delusion. In all fairness to the religious wackos, the strong delusion also comes from G~D!

Tiger's Home
Now, this is just a theory, but here goes. He came out of "treatment" just long enough to give a very scripted press release, then returned to rehab and now he's "in recovery." I'm thinking that was to let the dust settle after his "stirring" apology. Clearly, I don't know how they figure this sex addiction stuff, but if it's like alcohol, smoking, or gambling, does he have to remain celibate for life? I mean if it's an addiction . . . I'm a "delivered" smoker, for what nearly 20 years now, and I know if I picked them back up, I'd be hooked again in no time. I don't really have alcohol issues, but I dated a guy that was in AA and social drinking or date drinking was an absolute NO NO. He was a teetotaler. I think gamblers anonymous recommends that folks refrain from visiting the Casinos and choose a vacation destination other than Vegas. So what's Tiger going to do? He's got a drop dead gorgeous wife and getting back in the "swing" of the golf touring. What's he to do? If his sexual addiction is truly an addiction like all the others, he's going to have to refrain from indulging. I mean if it's an addiction, one night with Elin could send him right back to binging, so to speak. And what's with this anyway? Why is it always the just average or less looking guys with some great looking woman that they have to destroy her self esteem and devistate her? I say, Elin should stand her ground and realize most men would truly appreciate her. She's in for heartache and poor treatment if she is going to try to rebuild this marriage. Hopefully part of the mantra Tiger learned in sex rehab is, "the check is in the mail."

Back to Health Care Again
Just when we thought it was safe to back about our business, the big summit happened. From the pictures I saw, you could tell both sides meant business and no one came in "peace." The main Democrats were sporting blue ties and the Republicans, their red. No one came dressed for bi-partisan theater. Nancy P. said it wasn't theater, because that only lasts 2 or 3 hours . . . this went on for nearly 7. So, what I learned from that statement is simple. What could have been accomplished in less than a couple of hours, which amounted to nothing, the politicians dragged out for 7 and still without results. IMHO, they could have all stayed home and left regularly scheduled programing alone and done the same thing. I have truly come to the conclusion, this health care reform has two major goals. One, to bring we the people into further captivity and make more of us law-breaking criminals and two, give the Republicans either the House or Senate, so the President can have the excuse of gridlock and not bear the blame, should he be a one-termer. Well, I have a third possible reason, but it sounds so incredibly reprehensible . . . More power to the insurance system and medical field places us in the prime position to be under the control of "those that are just following orders" in a more "civility and trust" than say, the Gestapo. Of course this theory supports the thought that both parties are working together and the Technocracy is just about in place.
