The Election

I'm not presenting "just the facts," but rather introducing possible supposition, as we cannot possibly know the outcome until we've lived through it or . . . not.  I do believe the choices for this election don't seem like much of a choice!  Let's look at what "we the people" have been asking for, for years now.

We are tired of career politicians that owe their election to the Big Corporate lobby.  They are owned and we already know their bills, votes, and ultimate legislation are based upon campaign funding and the size of donations.  Simply stated:  "Money talks."  So we've cried out for new names and fresh faces.  In 2008, we got "little known" Barack Obama.  Obviously, he was more well connected than any president before him, in that he is completely protected from questions and above any accountability.  He's had a peculiar way of force feeding Americans what they don't want, even many who voted for him . . .

Hillary, on the other hand, is quite well connected, or rather, her name is well known in political circles as well as Big Corporate America.  She's clearly in the upper echelon of The One Percent, while somehow condemning elitist and white privilege.  I honestly do not know how her fans keep listening, but according to the polls, whether or not they are listening, they are supportive.  Her crowds do seem a bit disorganized, photoshopped, or just disoriented, but, that's a topic for another blog . . .

Donald Trump is the antithesis of career politician, and he has his own bankroll, so he apparently cannot be bought, which brings us to an entirely different problem that has not been an issue with career politicians and those who are "lobby owned."  In American politics, there is a certain entailment of accountability to those who have written large checks toward the campaign.  If Donald Trump cannot be bought and owned, will he be accountable?  I never watched his reality show, but I did see a trailer, in which I thought he was a pompous @$$.  Yes, I know I was judging him on very limited information, so I've repented.  There are a number of reports regarding his humanitarianism long before he was running for office, and I do admire the fact that he has used his wealth to bless others!  As for him being presidential material, he is a CEO; whereas his opponent wasn't even a homeowner until 2000.

 I have a couple of theories about the outcome of the coming election, but this much I do know.  The voters and the non-voters are vehemently divided; and the voters are not mincing words about how they feel toward the non-voters.  It's interesting to see for many, their political view is as dogmatic as their religious perspective . . . yet I digress.  The potential outcome of this election could have a reaction in the streets, long before a January inauguration.  Changes in the cities could come very quickly.

If Hillary is elected, a large portion of the conservative city dwellers may "head for the hills."  Many of Hillary's fans don't seem to realize the number of cities and towns that are already well on their way to looking like Detroit, MI.  America really doesn't make anything, anymore, but fast food.  We can see from history, as the social programs in this country have increased, manufacturing has diminished.  The only job security is in health care and government.  If a community is large enough to have a police and fire department, a social service office, and their own water treatment system, the city and or county is a major source of employment.  Add a hospital, home health agency, and a couple of nursing homes and it becomes quite clear, that health care is also a major source of employment . . . Much of health care is already government controlled and we know Hillary has had her site set on government controlled health care, since Bill was in the White House.

If Donald is elected, I would not be surprised to see "rioting" in the streets, but the current administration will call it protesting . . .  I am not sure a Trump presidency will postpone the implementation toward martial law, at all, considering the current administration will still have two and a half months of power after the election.  

As for the coming election, I'm afraid America is going to get what we deserve . . .

Timing is Everything

The current president of the United States has gotten where he is, leaving the last office before his term expired, and the one before that.  I was keeping an eye on the position of Secretary General of the UN last time around, but we ended up with a second term of both the Secretary General in the UN and the same US administration.  Now, it's come back around again.  I'm not suggesting a conspiracy theory, nor am I offering skepticism.  This is not a prophetic claim either, but rather just raising a question about an upcoming time frame.

We know President Obama cannot run again, and it's already clear he isn't.  Many are concerned, however; that some sort of emergency situation could suspend the 2016 presidential election, which would keep him in office beyond his term limit.  I've not dismissed that thought at all, but I've also toyed with a different perspective.  I'm really not sure that it would necessarily involve a conspiracy, but rather simply a "coincidence" of timing and happenstance.  Whether that "coincidence" is contrived or coordinated, I cannot say, but we do know a One World Government is prophesied.

Most Americans already believe the President, any President; is a mere puppet of those who place him in office.  Some call it a conspiracy, some call it capitalism run amok, and some call it communism creeping in.  Perhaps if we all just stood together and quit fighting the red and blue, we'd realize our "so called" republic or democracy is really an aristocracy or oligarchy.  The reality is really pretty clear.  The US is not so free or independent.  I'm not saying I don't love America, I'm just saying the image is different than the reality.  Now, back to a thought I've had, and perhaps it's really more of a question.

The US election is November of 2016.  Even Wikipedia uses the term "is scheduled for" November 8, 2016.  The UN will be selecting a new Secretary General this year, also; as the present term will end December 31, 2016.  Wikipedia states that candidates from the Permanent Five Members are not usually considered for the position of Secretary General to avoid a concentration of power, but there is a rumor that President Obama is interested in the position.  So, who knows?  Barack Obama is such a "trail blazer" it's not difficult to imagine him to be the first Secretary General from one of the Permanent Five Members.  Maybe he'll be nominated by another country, entirely.   Perhaps this is how the whole "birth certificate" situation will be resolved.  In a quick Google search, it is confirmed that Kenya is a member of the UN,  yet I digress . . .

In the time frame following the presidential election, however; any number of things could happen.  There is a span of about 2 1/2 months from the election to the inauguration.  What if Hillary is elected, then charged regarding her emails or Benghazi?  I'm certainly not wishing ill upon any candidate, but Bernie Sanders is no spring chicken . . .  He'll be 75 before the election even takes place.  That is 6 years older than Reagan was when he was elected, and democrats across the country thought he was entirely too old for the job.  Donald Trump will turn 70 this summer.

With the large number of republican nominees, they will likely do so much in-party fighting that none of their candidates will remain truly viable.  The debates seem to be most successful in convincing the American public to not even consider voting republican.  So far they seem to be accomplishing that as well as propelling Trump forward as a "non" republican whom they will not support if he does win the nomination.  With a fractured republican party, one of the senior citizen mentioned in the previous paragraph could, in all reality, be our next elected president.

Then there is also the chance that Obama could already win the appointment of UN Secretary General, before the American election has "resulted" in a winner, or even taken place.  Say for whatever the reason, President Obama is nominated and appointed to serve as the Secretary General of the UN for the next term, beginning January 1, 2017.  If Obama is appointed to the UN and there is some sort of calamity preventing the US presidential election, what happens?   If the election does take place as planned, regardless of the candidate elected for President, they will not be inaugurated until January 20, 2017.  If President Obama leaves his post for the UN position, that will leave America with President Joe Biden and no VP for 20 days.

Again, not wishing any harm on our elderly candidates, but life past 70 is uncertain anyway, much less in high stress situations.  As we already know, a great deal can happen in less time than 20 days! I'm not one to borrow trouble, but in times of such global uncertainty, introducing a situation of national historical precedence does elicit some concern or at least curiosity!

Bluster

The 2016 Presidential campaign appears to already be underway, and the choices . . . well, seem "all American."  Although I no longer participate in the election process, I do pay attention to the process.  The American political system has seemed very orchestrated throughout my adult years, but I don't want to become completely cynical and jaded.  I basically gave up on the political system back in 1980, when the Ayatollah Khomeini of Iran said Americans would die if Carter was re-elected.  Now all these years later, Americans want to rant about Obama catering to Iran . . .  I remember 1979 and 1980, America kowtowed long before I ever heard of Obama.

I don't believe a President has actually led this country since Eisenhower, and he brought some ideas to the table that were a few of Hitler's "successes" like the autobahn and medical advancements.  His friendship with Prescott Bush was probably a good political move, if not for him, definitely for Mr. Bush's descendants.  Kennedy came in as a leader, but he didn't play the game that was required and we know how that ended.  JFK was the last president that attempted to actually lead the country.  Although Johnson billed his "great society," he wasn't an actual leader, he simply responded to social demand and economic opportunity.  The division in the nation over Viet Nam replaced the racial division, and "divide and conquer" was established.

The government no longer represented the people, nor did the president lead.  The Nixon years were an attempt to recreate the Eisenhower years, as he'd been the VP, but it didn't happen.  He didn't appeal to the boomers, the way Eisenhower appealed to their parents.  Then the whole Watergate mess, ended in his resignation, just a few months after the VP had resigned, so it became obvious the real powers that be controlled 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.  Gerald Ford entered the White House in 1974, and was never elected to the office of President.  Carter was elected in 1976.  Within a year, he was blamed for an already struggling economy, which did not fare well with Americans.  We didn't care about his religious beliefs, we wanted lower interest rates and higher wages!

Moving right along through the Reagan years, I have to wonder just how powerful Bush 41 was through that time.  I'd like to remind everyone that there were arms deals with Iran through those years.  The Iran-Contra hearings that took place in the 80s ultimately resulted in Oliver North and John Poindexter being found guilty, but then the convictions overturned on appeal and charges were not refiled.  So, in a nutshell, it appears that Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North threw himself on the grenade, took the initial hit, then an overturned verdict that ultimately just made the problem vanish . . .  No more questions asked and no more answers given.

This, of course, kept the American attention while Bush 41 actually obtained the Oval Office.  I will say this, as I watched the discourse of the Iran Contra hearings, when President Reagan looked so lost and said, "he didn't remember," I knew he wasn't lying.  The early stages of Alzheimer's was obvious in his troubled expression, which caused me to wonder how many other things he was unaware of, while Bush 41 was nearby.  Bush 41, his thousand points of light, and his speech mentioning the global economy with a "New World Order" should have been a wake up call.  I guess it was, to a point, in that he wasn't elected to a second term, but his successor, Bill Clinton, completed his NAFTA plan.  We can clearly see now, that Bill Clinton and Bush 41 get along famously, and 43 is in a photos with Clinton as well.

Obama promised change, and some folks think we've changed suddenly for the worse, but I see it just as a further degradation of the direction we were already going.  There have been some "open" changes, but truthfully it's only in the fact the course has gained momentum.  As we can already tell from this new campaign season, candidates are going to say what they think the people want to hear, and if it's in their best interests, they'll serve up what the people want.  Unfortunately, this now brings us to the current lot of candidates.  To be honest, I was almost reconsidering my decision to not vote, when Dr. Ben Carson appeared on the scene.  He's a man of convictions, he is the perfect example of "anyone can be anything they want if they work at it," he's a 7th day Sabbath keeper, and kosher I believe.  He's retired, so he's no longer in the medical system, I thought . . . and then in one statement, he completely lost me.  He would make vaccinations mandatory and remove all exemptions.  So, that was that.  I'm, once again, content to be on the political sidelines watching the "mock" two party tennis match.

Since candidates now, really only concern themselves with the best interest of their financial supporters and reflect the mentality of their sheep, American politics is really dirty.  As for the current line-up.   Hillary appears to have the democratic nomination tied up.  She's tired and tiring . . . The GOP has so many running, it's hard to even sort through the rhetoric of who says what.   In one interview, I'm guessing Jeb Bush has received a healthy donation from Monsanto.   Obviously Ben Carson has good support from Big Pharma.  Considering reality television and the "big revolution" of spouting opinions on social media, it only makes sense that Donald Trump is leading the pack . . . He gets everybody all wrankled and Americans love to be wrankled about something.  He's a business man who knows how to play his bankruptcies while living large. He blasts the media regularly, and republicans love that, thanks to Rush and Sarah P.  Donald Trump is truly the epitome of the American spirit.  Nobody truly knows how he got where he is, he's stayed famous longer than the Kardashians, and he is boisterous.  What a promising future.  We're tired of empty promises, we are ready to embrace empty bluster.
